Wenn man einfach ohne Wastes spielen will, kann man auch einfach Plains so spielen, als würde dort der Text drauf stehen wie auf Wastes. Und dann baut man 30 Kartendecks mit je sechs Standartländer. Siegbedingungen sind dann 5 oder mehr Länder mit verschiedenen Namen gewinnen das Spiel. Finde ich persönlich besser, weil man nicht wastes einfach so rumliegen hat wie den Rest.

Weitere Variante könnte sein, dass man den Swamp nicht "discard at random" spielt, sondern dass der Spieler, der den swamp ausspielt die Hand des Gegners sehen darf und selber wählt.
